Join our (whatever the collective noun is for snowmen) of Vassals and special guest host Amin from A Podcast of Ice and Fire, to discuss Disney’s super-hit, the Oscar winning Frozen. We take a semi-serious look at the issues of feminism, LGBT rights and depictions of race in Disney. We also take a not very serious look at whether Hans is gay, whether A Song of Ice and Fire could have a happy fairytale ending, and what kind of protection one might need in dating Elsa.
Naturally this is full of spoilers for Frozen, but also Mulan, Pocahontas, Brave and assorted other Disney princess movies.
Podcasters: Amin; Nadia; Bina; Duncan (Valkyrist); Julia (No True Lady); Michal (Inkasrain); Saad (Saad164); Zach (Alias) and Elena (Lady Grey).
Edited by Bina007 using excerpts of music from the wonderful, and now Oscar-winning, original soundtrack to the movie.

Truly enjoying this podcast. As a father of two little girls (who don’t always get along usually due to a misunderstanding) this movie touched me emotionally. I was so happy with Disney for making a movie like this where the sisters love for each other is what ended up saving them and not some man. It was interesting to hear that Elsa was supposed to be the villain. That was another great choice by Disney.
I loved the songs interspersed into the podcast. Great job everyone! Also, I was glad of hearing that several of you are parents as well. Besides my two daughters I have a 9 year old son who loves comic book movies as well as kids movies and I love taking them. I am one lucky guy.
Thanks again
Really glad you enjoyed the podcast, Jon, and thanks for taking the time to comment!
And by the way I teared up during the songs DURING THE PODCAST. You can imagine how I was in the theater with both my girls on my lap. 🙂
And you are welcome. Thanks to you all for podcasting in your spare time.
